NAME
When I started A Brand Apart, most of the projects I worked on dealt with branding – logo / business card design, packaging design, promotion design – or expanding upon an established business’ aesthetic.
From time-to-time, however, I would have the opportunity to work on custom projects, such as poster or t-shirt designs, that were completely outside of the realm of branding.
I decided to start a division of A Brand Apart that dealt solely with custom work, and named it after one of my favourite things…
FORTY WEIGHT is slang for coffee on a CB radio. It may also refer to beer, but I’d take caffeine over hops any day.
